Founded in 1926, The Crag Rats is located in Pine Grove, Oregon and is the oldest mountain search and rescue organization in the United States. The all-volunteer Rats conduct rescue operations on Mount Hood as well as the Columbia River Gorge and surrounding areas. The association rents it's Club House and dedicates proceeds to its yearly mountain rescue missions.
The lodge is a beautiful facility with wood floors, a wrap around deck, two large fireplaces, and two levels with large windows that look out onto lovely north west cherry and apple orchards and a dramatic mountain view (pray for sun!).
